What we hold onto
If you email us, we have your name and address, because that is what an email is. Beyond that, the site keeps the ordinary records any site keeps, like the kind of device you used and which articles you opened. Nothing that names you.
Why we keep it
So we can reply to you, and so we can tell which writing is worth producing. That is the entire purpose. We are not interested in profiling you, and we do not trade your details to anyone.
The cookie situation
Cookies are little files that help the site remember you between pages. Some keep the site working, some help with advertising. Blocking them in your browser is fine, and only minor things will notice.
The outside services
We lean on Google for traffic numbers and advertising. Those tools have their own rules and their own cookies, separate from ours. If ads bother you, your Google settings are the place to rein them in. If you are a young person under thirteen, this site is not made for you, and we would rather you were not on it.
